Arda Kovan Claims Handler

Working as claim handler in Vitsan A.S. since 2015. He is managing a claim from the start through to settlement, making decisions on the extent and validity of a claim, handling the recovery actions. He has also “Lloyd’s Technical Cargo Surveying” Certificate. Before joining our team he worked for as an insurance assistant.

Cem Bilgişin General Coordinator

Studied Entrepreneurship and marketing at Richmond University in London. Returning to Istanbul after studies, I started to work at Vitsan in 2016, since then he has been involved in management and operations at the company.

Emre Özcan Senior Chief Surveyor /Senior Loss Adjuster

Dr. Emre Ozcan graduated with B.Sc. in civil engineering, and having graduated with M.Sc. in transportation engineering, he earned a PhD degree in quantitative risk engineering by focusing on insurance pricing for the railway undertakings in Turkey. Dr. Ozcan joined VITSAN family in 2005. His specialist technical knowledge covers marine/non-marine claims such as construction and erection all risks associated with BI (Business Interruption), DSU (Delay in Start Up)/ALOP (Advance Loss of Profit), field of liabilities and risk analysis with stochastic process.

Eva Adamandidi Lloyds & Average Agency

Eva has joined Vitsan in 1986 as assistant to Claims Executives at the time . By the time she was involved in forming the average agency department upon Lloyds authorisation Vitsan as Settling Agent.Over the years she was involved in handling of wide variety marine claims, risk analysis, none marine losses , liability , fine art claims & recoveries. Now her responsibilities are with managing large claims and the claims team of the Average Agency department. She has also taken the role to educate our junior claims team and overall see how our insurance claims services can be enhanced

Ferruh Serbest Claims Executive

Mahmut Nedim Şener Claims Executive

Nedim is a Naval Architecht (ITU) and completed an International Management program at IU and had worked as a design engineer in a well known shipyard and has joined Vitsan in 1990 as marine surveyor. After performing countless surveys for 16 years, He became Survey department Manager in 2006 and finally joined to Claim handling department in 2017. He has vast experience on H&M and P&I matters.

Namık Akyöndem Claims Executive

Graduated from the Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, Ankara. He joined VITSAN AS, in 01 September, 1989, at P-I Dept as “claims executive” after working (abt) 21 years at different Companies (as Ankara Chamber of Commerce, The Ministry of Village Affairs, Ankara / D.B. Turkish Cargo Lines, Istanbul / Turkish Libyan Joint Maritime Stock Company Istanbul). Since 2021 Namik has commenced to work at Vitsan as a consultant and to be a mentor to our claim executives and surveyors in the company

Okan Erkırtay Claims Executive

Graduated from the Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, Ankara. He joined VITSAN AS, in 01 September, 1989, at P-I Dept as “claims executive” after working (abt) 21 years at different Companies (as Ankara Chamber of Commerce, The Ministry of Village Affairs, Ankara / D.B. Turkish Cargo Lines, Istanbul / Turkish Libyan Joint Maritime Stock Company Istanbul). Still working as “claims executive” at P-I Dept, handling nearly all kind of P-I matters.

Salih Akkaya MSc. Architect

He has been working in Vitsan since 1999 and is currently working as a Senior Surveyor in the Average Department specializing both in marine and non-marine losses .Over the years he was involved in handling a wide variety of marine, none marine claims. He also serves as the “Branch Offices Manager” including Baku /Azerbaijan and Batumi /Georgia being both Lloyds Agent in their area.

Ziya Mesut Koç P&I Department Manager

Captain Ziya Mesut KOC has graduated from Marine Transportation and Management Engineering in 2008 and then worked on board Chemical Tankers for 6 years. He has joined Vitsan family in 2015 as a Marine Surveyor and then he promoted to survey department manager in 2017 and handled with reporting, survey organization, coordination and participated in surveys in the field in case needed. In 2018 Mesut has promoted to P&I Department Manager and now he is managing claim and survey teams, controlling the work process, contributing the training of claim executives and surveyors, handling all type of P&I claims.

İlknur Gülmez Claim Handler

She graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Geomatics Engineering. She joined the company Vitsan A.S. in 2020 as Claims Handler at the P&I Department after working at various companies. She continues to work as Claim Handler within the scope of P&I Club Services on survey requests from P&I Clubs, ship-owners, charterers, shipping agencies.

Kubilay Delen Claim Executive

Kubilay has graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University, Faculty of Law in 2018 and he is qualified as Lawyer since 2019. He joined Vitsan in 2020 as Claims Handler. He practiced maritime law, employment law and commercial law prior to joining Vitsan. He handles a variety of P&I claims.

Zeynep Yüksel Claim Handler

Graduated from the Istanbul University, Faculty of Law in 2020 and began practicing law in 2021 after registering with the Istanbul Bar Association. Prior to joining Vitsan as a Claim Handler in 2022, has practiced Maritime and Commercial law.

Arzu Özdemir Claim Executive

Arzu Özdemir has graduated from Middle East Technical University – Physics Department. Besides being certified as foreign trade specialist, she also holds certiication from “North P&I Residential Training Course” and SEGEM (Insurance Training Centre) Brokers Technical Personnel. Before joining Vitsan, she worked for leading local correspondent companies in Turkey and handled various P&I and H&M claims for 15 years. She has joined P&I Claims Department of Vitsan in November 2022 and handles variety of P&I claims with respect to requests from P&I Clubs.
